“At first an ordeal and then an accomplishment, the daily run becomes a staple, like bread, or wine, a fine marriage, or air. It is also a free pass to friendship.”
~ Benjamin Cheever, Strides

My Family

I have been happily married for 12 years to my husband Mark.  We actually dated each other for 4 years when we got married....so before long, half my life will have been spent with this man.

Together, we have a beautiful baby girl, Avery.
A family that hikes together...

We also have a dog and two cats...which is actually down significantly from the small zoo we had early on.

There is Cassie, our 9 year old yellow lab, who truly understands the value of a tennis ball.
Waiting patiently for Mark to throw the tennis ball.
Ginger, our rescue kitty who is now 14.  She still hides from strangers and adores hiding under blankets.
Jellybean, our 14 year old sugar baby.  He has feline diabetes.  He gets insulin injections twice a day...and has some Siamese in him because he is very vocal, especially when the food dish is empty.
