This week, per the pediatrician, we introduced solids in the form of extremely watered down rice cereal.
O.M.G. What IS that? And why is it NOT in a bottle? |
The new high chair was a hit though - honest. Doesn't she look thrilled? |
You will pay for this mommy. I am planning another screaming session for 2am. |
My only regret this week is that I did not videotape the face she makes while trying to poop, it really is pretty awesome. Just sayin'.
This time next week - we will be flying to Texas. I've never flown with an infant before and I'm rather dreading the experience. Although, the car ride from my parents to Mark's parents might inspire even more dread in me.
But I'm so sweet and innocent! |
Any tips for traveling with a 4 month old?
Any other pictures I can take of Avery that I can threaten to show her future boyfriends?
My kid didn't do well on rice cereal either. My doctor actually told me to start with pears or peaches. She liked those and then we moved on to oatmeal with great success.
ReplyDeleteTraveling tips? Uh, I'll pray for you?
Smiling or not, sweet Avery is precious. Your post brought back memories of when my girls were that age. Cherish it, time flies.
ReplyDeleteYou know the cereal goes in her mouth, right? Cause it looks like someone went for the eyebrow. And uhh, yeah, good luck with that trip! I once saw someone put dixie cups over the baby's ears during take-off and landing to help with the pressure. I'm not sure it actually works, but anything is worth a try. And tell Avery not to be sad when they don't buy her dinner after the patdown. And that's way too far for the first date.
ReplyDeleteLike Kara, we started with other things... I think avocado and sw potato. Sorry it was rough- but you never know until you try! Hmm, hopefully she'll nap well?! We didn't fly with L til she was a year, but I don't think it's every fun.
ReplyDeleteWow. Sounds like a rough week! I am glad you definitely got some adult time with us on Saturday!
ReplyDeleteHer holiday outfit is adorable - even if she is not smiling. I am wishing you safe and non-eventful travels and a very very very happy Christmas, my friend!
